Scam Google call

After dealing with these pest for a while I came to the same conclusion. I never answer to with held numbers 0800`s or unrecognized dialing codes. It saves a lot of wasted time.

 

 

 

same here if it is not a local area code or with held number i dont answer!!

 

 

 

only problem now is the buggers are ringing me from mobile numbers & im answering them thinking there new customers!!!!!!!!

 

 

the number in the first post rings me about 3-4 times (as well as other 0161 numbers) a week the first time i answered it there was a girl called mandy who was after a bit of pater & banter trying to sell me advertising on google i said i was not interested but she carried on with her set speech i told her 7 or 8 times i was not interested but still she carried on, i was stuck in traffic with her on speaker phone so i just let her ramble on for another 20 mins then when she said it all works out at a total of 499 plus vat can you give me the long number off the front of your card i said to her again that i was not interested & i thought it was very expensive she called me a time wasting wanker & she hoped my kids died

lucky i dont have kids so i did not take offence to that comment

when i called the number back & asked to speak to a manager i got cut off!!

I had one from a guy claiming to represent the emergency services mag. Usual scam. They almost had me and try to say weeks later that I had verbally committed but backed right off when I said I had trading standards on to them, th epolice investigating them for impersonating a police officer and sent them a letter as if it were worded by a barrister. All of a sudden they call to say sorry for the misunderstanding and they're sorry to lose my custom blah blah blah. Just scammers trying it on on got scared when they thought I was about to screw them dry.

They call all the time, i had one today who said he could get me on the first page of google and a high ranked listing, i said great, what is your company name he said the company, i typed in Google SEO experts into Google and low and behold their company wasnt the top ranking. I said if you cant get your self on the first page you can stuff it if your going to get me to pay you!!!!

You can get yourself easily on the first page by getting an account with google and some basic SEO etc. Dont be conned guys but at least play with them when the do call!!!!

They are all swines. We have a policy at the office and even my own IPhone. If I don't recognize the number or the phrase number blocked or private number, it shall not be answered. If a message is left I shall listen but may or may not respond.

get loads of cold calls on the phone i love them window companys get from my im well intrested but one thing im concered about is fitting n they say dont worrie we experts but i say ive never seen double glaze windows in a tent have recently been using this one when they ring up saying mr ***** i say sorry he is dead n they either hand up or say sorry but who im speaking to i say his ghost i even try n sell them stuff im right random when they say would you be intrested in soler panles of upvc or a the ushall junk then i say do you want to buy a toaster one owner from new little used one gets used once a day

If it's anything to do with the house, windows etc, just say that you rent they'll put the phone down quicker than you can

I just had a call from 01618 141 278

 

Northern man, claiming to be from google, in charge of 'tree surgeons'

 

I listened for a couple of minutes with suspicion, and then informed him I wasnt interested in adwords as i was growing my website ranking organically.

 

He slammed the phone down without saying another word.

 

Please be aware of this scam, it was a first for me, but obviously it has been going around for a while.

if you get cold callers just say " Ah you need the other Mr Blogs, ill go and get him" then go and make a cup of tea.
