Would any of you guys be interested in a twin stemmed Cherry approx 18m high. Butt is DBH 700 and about 2.5m before it forks. 1 stem is about dia 600 the other about dia 500. Nice and straight. Marc it comes in at under 7.5 with the mods. Must admit it does go a bit over when fully loaded. Have chopped off a lot of clumsy over weight and needles steel in places that it doesn't need to be and used ally where possible to keep weight down.

This is our U140L which we've had for almost 2 years now. Has undergone extensive overhaul since purchase ti bring it up to spec. Amongst many other things this included fabrication of a new Ally chipbox and the fitting of a Versalift 36NF Boom. It is an incredibly productive machine when on site and really shows up your usual 2 man and a van setup.

Has anybody had any experience with either the stihl or more so husky cordless pole saws. They seem promising but dont want to fork out unless they can compete against say an ht101 or ht131. Any thoughts appreciated.

Evening guys. Just a follow up from this thread. Have taken advice and tried the old 621 on aspen, set the carb up just right and it runs just fine. None of the problems that we had before. Good advice. I'm sure theres plenty of older problem saws which could be cured by just changing to Aspen. Wow never thought I'd see the day that I used it.

nah I shouldnt think so. Disassembled brather and all and gave it a good blow out with airline. Tank is pressurized with bubbles in after running for 10 mins or so.

Hi there, I have a problem with my fathers jonsered 621. Runs fine for a bit then pressurises the fuel tank and stops. I have checked everything that I know andcant find anything wrong so I'm figuring that pressure from the cranckcase must be seeping through into the fuel tank. The real question is does anyone know where I might be able to source a gasket set for it. I have part numbers and have tried a couple of places in the states but to no avail. Many thanks Pete

Evening chaps, Have a job that I'm starting on the 15th of June in Sandhurst Surrey. Not a massive job but should be a couple of days and am a little concerned that we are going to run out of space on the van etc. Quite a way from home so was wondering if anyone in the area might consider letting us put a load or 2 in their yard if we were to come to a arrangement. Hi there, I have a job potentially upcoming which is a western red takedown. I'd like to lift the timber out in decent size chunks and move it on to someone ideally. But I have no idea what the prefered lengths would be. I wouldnt want to cut the a bit short or indeed long and then be told that nobody wanted it cos of the length. I'd hazard a guess at 3m but hey, let me know your thoughts. It is pretty fat at the base......like 3ft+ and gun barrel straight. Many thanks.

As the title suggests I'm in need of a xmas tree approx 12-15ft high for our local church this year. We are based in Winchester, Hants. Really just getting a feeler as to if there is anyone out there that might have a plantation or the like. Any sensible help appreciated. Pete

Thanks for all your sensible advice (breath of fresh air). Anyway, I think its just the control box missing. It does have a silver tube pointing at the starter ring on the flywheel and various wires coming from this going to what appears to be solenoids and also wires that go back to the fwd/rvs hydraulic valve. That link to that website looks very promising.

Evening chaps. As the title suggests really. I have a 1998 entec which the stress control has never worked on since i've owned it and also hasnt bothered me until now as I want to sell it and everyone expects chippers to be fitted with them. So I fugured if I want to get the best price for it then I'm gonna have to fix it. So....I could pay an awful lot to have a new one fitted. Cant really repair the old one as theres bits missing from the system i think. Which got me wondering if it is possible to buy some kind of no stress system generically if you will and fit it to my machine. Not really getting much luck with google on this at the moment so I thought Id see if anyone on here has any suggetions. Many thanks

ok thats good to know. Havent bought a 150 of my own yet but like you say they are ideal for small stuff.

As the title suggests we are talking about this saw. Saw it advertised in the mag they handed out at the arb show. It does claim to be the worlds lightest chainsaw, which after some research appears to be true...just. Little bit down on power compared to stihl 150 however although when I last used a 150 i was impressed by its ability certainly for doing small stuff, it did keep bogging down and stopping which was slightly off putting. So has anybody used one of these Makitas and if so what did ya think. And please lets keep the "wouldnt use that cos its blue" crap for another forum.
