Its been around 18 month since hedge cutting has overtook my other work loads rather quickly so Ive re-branded myself as 'the Hedge Man'. Since its been going so well ive now got my first full timer on the books and i'm getting alot of new contracts.

So my question is... are there any folk out there that want to sub-out their hedge cuttting? I can appreciate that its he kind of work some tree guys like to hold onto for any of the quite periods. But ive noticed some people i speak to in the trade, it's a workload they hate and would rather pass it on!

obviously we can do it at a rate whereby you'll be making yourself some decent money off it. We do a really tidy cut and clear so your customers will not be dissapointed.

my usuall working area is as far north as lincoln, lincs and as far south as stamford, lincs and everything inbetween!

I personally would be very careful passing on all hedge work as quite often this leads to a decent tree job . A lot of trust would be needed for this to work out.

It could end up losing you a lot of work . I,m not being funny or having a go , its just how I see it :001_smile:

DITTO. When the hedge is over 20foot high and 10foot wide it is not your average trim job for a man with a hedge cutter and a pair of steps.

I cannot understand anyone wanting to pass on hedge trims, it's bread and butter work that earns a good £. I know it's hard for some to do a good job of hedging, proven iin how much work I've won from others, one being a local "hedge specialist" who doesn't seem to know how to cut a straight line.
