put a sheet on and you have a chance of scratching the car dust wont harm it if washed off with a pressure washer use a sponge or cloth it might.

If they get mud on there car off the road do they kick up a stink ?

just an excuse to complain in my opinion :)

Agreed- we generally get them moved but on some sites theres 10 cars and 80 flats. It becomes a major operation getting them moved and the preferred method is do the job then blow the dust off the cars.

I like the idea of dust sheets though- it makes it look like you are trying to prevent a problem. What do you use. Decorators cotton or nylon tarpaulins.

Decorators cotton sheets...works well..used it on many Bmw,s,Porsche,s that sort of motor all over Central London...Drivers return on many occasions and as you said thank you for the obvious care you,ve taken.

Right. Top tip. I'm going to get a couple and keep them with us for this purpose. Being cotton I guess they can't claim any damage caused by the sheet.

Exactly what I'm thinking now.

Usual thing though.

You look at a tree and in the rush don't really appreciate the empty car park which when the lads turn up to do the job happens to be full.

I don't even have a chipper at the mo... but I'm thinking of it in terms of blown sawdust from the tree that I'm up. I do warn folks where possible at quote stage.

Reminds me of a job a short while ago when the neighbour came out and stood under the tree just as we started to lower a limb, didn't see the girl due to the fence. I nearly had a heart attack when I heard her moaning about all the white stuff on her lawn....
