A friend sent a cheap ish one (£150 three or four years ago) straight up and it kept going. Based on the battery life and the speed, we reckoned it went up literally thousands of feet and down and sideways on the breeze fvck knows where. Conclusion we came to was the that expensive ones would probably come back to you automatically etc. We never considered whether they’d be clever enough to descend to stiller air if it’s too windy up high though.

The one that I'm talking about was a clone of a mavic. It had a top speed of 12mph and a return to home function. Turns out that gusts of wind are a problem. This one went off at 45 degrees towards Holland, had a range of 3Km on a 15 min battery and a max height of similar. I'm told.

Santa brought a Sliky Zubat for wifey, so she can stop borrowing mine. And he brought me an Armytek WizardPro Nichia, limited edition headlamp. No other torch I've ever had compares to the utility of this gadget. Goes from a mere glimmer to a blinding wall of light and everything in between, and it makes colors look like the do on sunlight, instead of the washed out ghostly blue like cheap LED lights.

I had some unexpected amazing presents this year, my daughter commissioned her friend to do me a painting of a deer, and my sister bought me plans to make my own canoe, and my wife bought me a record power 8inch bench grinder.

K & Mark I would guess it’s not a case of just sending it up and hoping for the best,I will do some ground work and find out the basics and obviously if I need a license to use it,as with all these things the idea is good in theory but in reality it’s more complicated.

Garden vac / shredder. Only a domestic one though. I bought my missus a pressure washer (which she asked for) with car and patio cleaning attachments; who said romance is dead??!
