This afternoon two guys pulled up at the yard trying to sell generators. They claimed they represented "Lombardini" and had some examples from a trade exhibit they had held.

Funny in that the Gypsies don't usually come over untill Spring.Global warming maybe?

We, had the same guys stop sellings new "huskys" left from a trade show. We were working on a backroad miles from any major through route, they stopped to ask for directions to the airport! (nearest one was about 70 miles) then he said "do you want to buys these saws as we cannot take them on the plane" ..I had to laugh at the sheer balls of it.

I dont suppose theres a fair in town is there.

My old man had his 880 nicked not so long back and the police reckoned it was the gypsies from one of the local fairs.

Result - the police didnt even look into it, my dad down over a grand.

You should never ever, confuse Gypsies with fairground people [who prefer to be called Showmen] I have never ever heard of a showman implicated for any kind of offence, let alone theft, and I know a fair few showmen.............

And the for the record Showmen do huge amounts for charity, do a google and take a look.........

Sorry to have hit a nerve let me rephrase what I said.

But I would also like to bring your attention to exactly what I said, the police said they reckoned it was the gypsies from the local fair not me.

It seems though that these showmen (it may just be in the West Midlands) travel from place to place and mess up everywere they go for example every park they went to in Birmingham.
