Husky combi can's

the stihl can is also easier to fill that the husky can unless you have one of those little funnels with the angled spout....thats assuming you fill up from a jeri can like i do.

I fill straight from the petrol pump so as to get an accurate measure of fuel.

Mine have never stuck open! I find turning the nozzles inside when i'm done using them stops them sticking (guess the oil gets in the slidey bits). Wheras the stihl cans my boss uses always stick. they also don't fit very well in husky fuel openings and tend to catch, splatting fuel everywhere!

I LOVE the husky cans, as I remember Dad buying one of the first ones in the country, and we continued to use them for years. Bought a stihl can one day as I needed one in a hurry. Never bought another Husky one again. Still feel very nostalgic when I see the nice rounded orange can with the cute green fillers.

where the earliest cans with blue spouts and they went green with the onset of unleaded or is my mind going fuzzy with age?

Only trouble Ive had with my Husqy can is on the oil can I over tightened the spout and stripped the thread:thumbdown:, But I moded it to get a few more years out of it.Next time probably buy a Stihl one.

I fill my jerry can straight from the pump, mix all 20 litres at once, and then top up the combi as required. Cant get much more accurate than that, and my combi is always full.

The husky cans are awful crap. The thread on the oil side is duff on mine so I couldnt screw the spout on tight though after cutting the rubber washer in half it now fits.

Build quality is very poor imo ..im sure they alway use to be a one peice unit?

Stick with oregon..tough as old boots ..and the stihl spout fits them
