Did some BIG PINES yesterday and theres no way you could have throwen a line from the ground, there was yews under them and the only way was to ladder above the yews and then throw a line.

You use srt? In over 3 years I,ve not found anything that I could not get a line into (eventually:blushing:), but trees here are not as big as other places in the world.

I find more and more that people in the anti-ladder brigade tend to fall in the sub-30 category!

I'm fast approaching 43 and detest ladders, as I'm getting older I need to maintain my fitness as best I can, so wondering up a ladders aint going to do me must good.

I'm older than you Dave, and I keep my fitness tip-top by having sex with young supermodels, using all the energy I have saved by using ladders....:001_tongue:

Seriously, they are a tool, good for some jobs, not for others.

Good for very broad crowned apple tree pruning today, for sure.
