Mine is rubbish, 300tdi 130 on MUDs with full width intercooler returns about 15-18mpg.

Love to hate it at the moment. Wouldn't do without it.

 

Hi all yes I get in my 300 tdi tipper I get 26/28 where going back to a new land rover 90/110 xs far better then Audi a6 Jon

last time i worked out my mileage was a while ago in my old p reg 90 (300tdi)

 

35mpg

 

havent bothered to do the maths again since but i know our 110 td5 feels more like 28-30

300tdi was the better engine in my opinion td5 had issues with water on electrics but then saying that if you buy a 300tdi with 100.000+ on the clock expect to put a new clutch and release fork in and maybe gearbox, I've had a few 90 landys and the two I spent less money on were 300tdi, fuel consumption will be between 25 and 35 mpg, we have the new 90 on the farm and the gearbox has already been changed.

Our td5 disco van with 600kg in the boot does 30 mpg on a long run. Around town 25 . Had slicks bfg at and bfg mud terrains on ats knock it 3mpg mud terrains 5 mpg. If you think you might sit neck deep in mud buy a 200/300 tdi if you think you may want to do 200 miles in a day get a TD5
