kill them now while they are asleep, otherwise you'll be responsible for thousands more wasps come spring!

 

Call me a wuss but I have a policy of trying not to kill anything. I end up chasing them around the house with a glass and piece of card :blushing:

True, but then you are only dealing with the odd individual thats causing a problem and not the 1000's that just do their thing.

The hell with that, sounds like a good way to get stung to me.

 

Got stung in the hand by an overwintering wasp one year.

 

According to the internet each nest can make over a thousand queens per season, they won’t miss the few that get into my house and fall victim to the back of the ash shovel.

Doing their thing involves stinging people, I have a prejudice born of allergy, if I can’t retreat I kill the little buggers on sight
