I'm with you. I clean everything after I've been out, chainsaws, Silkys and Axes. Only takes 20 or so minutes to get everything clean, sharp and oiled up ready for the next time. Not only do they look nice after a good clean/service, I know that if I keep doing it my stuff will still be going strong in years to come.

And I must confess to treating myself to a nice small Husky last week, that I didn't really need.

So you service your saw every day. coming home wet and cold, you still clean the filter etc. ???? I'm with skyhuck

I just cut for the log burner:thumbup:

Think you had better add cleaning the chainbrake and checking the chain catcher to the list - gotta say it really pisses me off when the MS200Ts come in with yet another busted chain catcher and brake mech stuffed with wood chip.

Needless to say, I slap a new catcher on each one:thumbup:

Stripping your Saws daily is a waste of time IMHO.Its a bit like changing the Engine Oil in your Truck every Week.

I clean the Bar Rails and Flip the Bar each new Chain,Check the Air Cleaner Weekly and clean as required.

I have alot more important things to do than fettish about with my Saws.
