Are block/battery/fuel heaters common at your latitude?

Not sure mate.  
 

I have a Varmepumper in my house and an air circulatory system.  That, along with the wood burning stove seems to do the trick.

I have an underfloor cable in the garage to heat it.

 

TBH I haven’t turned it on since we had it built.  Electricity has been pretty expensive as it is.  Hearing a 50sq m slab of concrete isn’t high on the list of priorities.

 

Getting the kids to turn lights off and my tennant to not have the heating up full blast and all the windows open, has kind of ruined the electricity bill numbers.

General house warmth must keep it warm enough. I’d love heated vehicle storage. I suspect my van would start at -10.5c but not easily.

19.3 centigrade here in the golden state (my favourite working temperature) but it feels like 25+

Got down to minus 8,8c here last night. Was up on the ski slope helping with snow production.

Back to winter again. Had a few inches of snow on Friday and frosts to minus 15 over the weekend. 

 

The lake refroze in the strangest way too. A friend flew a drone over and it revealed crater like ice circles. Anyone any idea how they've formed? I didn't add the music to the video by the way 😁
