They seem to overegg it a bit since ‘87.

I think folks would rather be told their roof will blow off and it not happen than the other way round.

The fact that it might get a bit windy in London seems to be the thing that’s driving the media frenzy.

Yep - best to be more on the safe side. It is proper windy now - couple people now struggling to walk outside and I wouldn't like to go out in it.

Hotel opposite there is some sort of rickety building on the flat roof - the front half started to tear away. It looked like it could fall into the road where there were still people walking and driving.

Told the hotel to call the fire brigade to close the road [which they have done]. In the end the front of this has now flapped and blown away backwards away from the road.

One of the firemen got blown off his feet! Also heard that other places in town have lost cladding etc so it is def one notch above a normal storm.

Good dump out of Snow. Cars stuck on the A90. A Lorry Jack-Knived has fully blocked the southbound. The back roads then started to fill and Vans and Cars got stuck. [emoji849] Had some fun pulling them up the hill in the Grand Cherokee. IMG_1032.jpg

Had to drive a lassies car up the hill in town as well. Not had this much fun in ages. [emoji16]
