Been a bit quiet on here lately.

Proper wild winters day today with rain and gale. A foot of rain last month and another 8" so far this month. Reservoirs all topped up and could now do with a break now.

500mm of rain in the last 6-7 weeks? Blimey that is a lot. Certainly feels relentless. Looking forwards to Christmas break from it now.

Nearest I can find near me in elevation is Holne and that’s saying 466mm in a month- surely that’s not right???

It does sound a bit high. This guys site should be trustworthy as he used to work for the met office but it's a bit far east for you. http://www.lyneside.demon.co.uk/Haytor/automatic/Current_Vantage_Pro.htm

Could easily be. The gauge on the Isle of Skye regularly records more than 500mm in a month. It's been amazingly wet lately, and even in Cullompton it's been more than 300mm
