I dont know about what the wages should be, but someone who has gone through colege and qualified that does seem a bit low.

On the other hand, when im on the trowel I earn more than qualified brickies, only due to my experience, the others that have been to college dont really get site experience, that is probably why the wages are low. Dont quote me though, they may just want skilled people for peanuts, as is the case across alot of industry.

I was on 21000 as an employed climber (a good one before you ask!).21 days holiday, no sick pay minimum 9 hr days, no scope for much if any more, £20 at Xmasan considered a bonus. You'd be very lucky to earn more in south east. Self employed, all own gear and saws £100 a day average, 120 considered very good.£150 subbing with van and chipper.

I would hope a busy consultant earnt more than that.
