What's on your bench today?

Put an 'AIP' piston in a Stihl 017.

Not used AIP before; made in India with very fancy packaging! It's a lovely snug fit and compression is reading 160PSI which is better than I'd hoped for from a non-Meteor aftermarket...

Seen their website but not used the product. Be interesting to see how it goes.

Spud butchered the diaphragm gasket during the tear down. I'll have a new one tomorrow mebbe. :001_rolleyes:

It is amazing the devastation I can wreak when I am at least 400 miles from your saw isn't it Wes:sneaky2:

I would tell you where to go for your carb kits but I know you like supporting your local agent and paying double what you should:lol:

You always use a very sharp scalpel to slice off the diaphragm.........didn't I tell you:001_tt2:

I would just like to wish all fellow Arbtalkers a very Happy Christmas and thanks for all the input on this thread.

I think many have learnt a fair bit, many have sought help and found it and many a "scrapper" has found its way back in to active service.

All good and thanks to Mr Bullman for another fine year of Arbtalk:thumbup:

Seconded :) my 357 must have tested your patience to the limit. I'm happy to announce it's now a blinder of a saw and will be farming out any work that's out of my league (can't be fixed with a hammer) to this wizard!
