I've been looking at that myself but that setup seems to have been superseded by the new Light 04 bar and full and semi chisel .325 narrow kerf chain which have performed very well in tests. Unfortunately the 3/8th chain is not compatible with the new bars but I believe the new chain is much more robust.

Also the 3/8 bars are not listed on their own only as a kit and the kit does not appear in the new catalogue so I think stihl might have quietly dropped it.

typical!! sounds like my luck!

i ordered in a 3/8LP rim sprocket this AM so we'll see what i can make up

Been over ten yrs since i owned a lathe and this gem was 500squid delivered from AIM tools. Lovely to have all the screw cutting gear n shineyness. Just had a PTO shaft skimmed for new bearing n that was 80 notes ? K

Ooooh a metal turning lathe, I did metal turning as part of my apprenticeship 40 years ago, never touched a lathe again until about 10 years ago when I bought an old Colchester master dated from the mid 60’s, needed a bit of a clean and a 3 phase converter fitted to it, but it is going well.

Kubota B7100 compact gearbox on the bench at the moment as it ate the 4wd gears, now on the search for parts. Got away with needing 1 gear the selector pad and a needle bearing.

JHC  that brings back memories .  Looks very similar to the Student . Did a lot of turning on a Colchester Chipmaster and the Student and the Triumph .  Also used a Dean Smith and Grace .

Got it sand blastered and then matt lacquered it all
