:confused1:What "rumoured licence"?????????:confused1:

Two different sources have now told me there is the possibility that anyone who sells logs will have to apply for a licence from the ea, yet I cannot find anything online about it. As it came from two unnconected sources, mi thought this maybe another government money making scheme

First I've been told about it I would welcome it we need more legislation to separate the good and bad apart.

Only complaint we had is the hornbeam is to dry and burns to quick even when turned down:lol:

I think your getting your leg pulled

Even if there was a "licence" do you think it would make an ounce of difference???

All additional legislation does is drive up the costs for the legitimate operator, making the less scrupulous operators prices even more attractive.

I agree. I wouldnt get a licence, as its only a sideline. I would just save it all for my own use.its like the chainsaw licence. Those who want it, get it, those who dont, wont.

Been dead last few months. The odd bag here and there. Got 25 in stock, then out, but its only a sidelline, plus I can use them on my own fire now I am out of conifer!! Been a bad year, but auld and sundry are now selling logs. If the rumoured licence comes in, that might sort the wheat from the chaff

Do you mean the requirement for owners of wood boilers to only use hetas assured firewood to be elegible for the rhi payments?

Been quiet for a week or so but yesterday phone went mad:thumbup1:

It always seems like that and often does not seem to correlate to the weather. Had the quiet week still waiting for it togo mad :laugh1:

Generally slowing down now but a few dribs and drabs going out.
