I thought i would re post this under a differant title as i was amased that no one had read my other thread so..........

Hi All

Just thought you would like to know that the HSE guidance on training and certification in Arb & Forestry HAs changed.

The format of the document has changed a lot and it builds even moor advice about differant training, but some may find this clouds the issue on training rather than makes things clearer.

My interpretation is the guidance remains roughly the same prof users should look to separate training and assessment to demonstrate a basic level of ability.

the thing that will please a lot of people is there is now a push to comment on proficiency.

at bts training we have been doing this for our internal staff assessments for some time, and have recently started making proficiency statements for external candidates.

I think this is really useful as we are all aware that a cert of comp is a basic minimum standard, but a 'ticket' does not mean people can do any moor than what they are tested on. proficiency gives guidance on on ability very useful.

have a read any questions please dont hesitate to get in touch

cheers all
