The public are now selling their trees ?

I was looking to purchase cordwood on wood lots when I see an advert from a bloke selling his oak tree to pay for the felling recently done. Another lady has a walnut tree for sale Just needs taking down ?. I guess it must be in vertical storage with automatic watering, perhaps we need to pay for that aswell :lol:

I had a call last year from a chap looking for a quote....

 

Nothing unusual there then..

 

I started asking about the job, and where was the property etc and I was about to ask him for directions to his house to look over the works required when he said 'So how much do you think it would be worth to you?'

 

He was after a quotation of how much we would pay him for the tree!

 

It was/is a large silver birch, and is still standing to this day.

You can probably blame a lot of this forums “firewood” members and the existence of this forum on the net for this.

 

So really the blame is on YOU and others like you and the lady and gent you ridicule are really correct and have there heads screwed on unlike some of the firewood who are over inflating firewood cost because of the business practises they undertake to buy wood at silly prices. :001_tt2:
