AP is pretty bomb proof Tony, you'll let go of the hitch way before it melts, lol.

I am still playing around with the ring, I am currently trying ity through the rope as pictured but lower down between the braids, I have also gone to a standard vt..... its still not perfect though..

the search continues...

Sorry fellas, been away.

Here's my set up, AP on Poison Hi-vy with a 26mm DMM ring.

It's a pain getting the DF knots through the small ring, had to untie, pass them through and re-tie, but this advances really smoothly and locks every time, and cuts sit-back right down.

Great tip Drew!

In my humble opinion tree surgeons appear to use more jargon than any other profession I know of, it all sounds very impressive but I haint got a clue what it actually means:blushing:being a mere "stick cutter"

just a thought

AP = ArmorPrus hitch cord (the speckled dark green black hitch rope)

Poison Hi-vy = Climbing rope

DMM Ring = The green ring

DF = Double fishermans knot (at each end of the hitch cord)

sit back = when you push your hitch up and you sit back iin your harness before it grips

Hope that helps:thumbup:

Do you know how your armour prus is spliced? is it class1 or class2? i Fancy trying some but have read it is only advised to have a class2 splice as it is core dependant.
