timberwolf tw150 service & blade change

hi guys

 

i have a timberwolf tw150 and want to service and change the blades ?

can anyone helppp please?

 

i no how to do all the basic checks but dos anything need greese inside the cover (rollers etc ) i cant see any greese nipples any were , also my blades are blunt as my arse can you tell me the best way to remove and replace ?? any help will be really appriciated

Blades should be changed/resharpened every 20hrs or so and never allowed to go blunt.

 

Instructions on removal are in the handbook. along with locations of grease nipples.

I do mine every two weeks some times more if to many conifers on gravel drives have gone through!

If you do attempt it yourself (pretty basic stuff to be honest) make sure you have got a torque wrench and some copper ease.

The bolts that fix the blades in place need copper ease to help with future removal and the torque wrench will ensure you tighten the hex bolts to 60 newton meteres (61 to be precise in the manual!!).

 

p.s greasing nipples are on the opposite side to the to the blade changing hole/slot.

and use non graphite based grease to re-grease (apparently)

For clarity - grease nipples are on the same side as the ignition (opposite the blade changing hole/slot/window/thingy!!)

piece of cake mate, if you aint got a handbook just get onto timberwolf and they will sort you 1 out, a word of caution, when removing the torx bolts spray wd40 onto the head as this softens the crap then with a pointy end of a chainsaw file clean out the crap before trying to put your torx bit in. if you dont do this the torx bit may not fit correctly and you could round the torx hole, i speak from experience! also dont drop the torx bolt into the machine as its a bugger to get them out, i have a magnet on a bit of string just incase:thumbup:
