Man basket??

A basket/tub similar to what you would have on MEWP to work out of except your basket would have a handle above you to hook on your Hiab. Back in the day when I did deep drainage we used to get winched down and back out of the hole in one. Primitive but it does work well.

I've got a question about registering a Unimog. I am looking at buying a U400 with MEWP. It seems on the logbook it's registered as a HGV can it be re registered as "other engineering plant" i.e. A Cherry picker? Is there much to it?
Many thanks

Be careful with the lifting regs if you go down the route of man riding baskets. Worth Looking into as the restrictions and additional hoops to jump through are quite substantial.
