There is a company by me that are gypos and they go one further they employ a local boy (bullshit salesman) so the customer doesn't hear an irish accent then a van load of them turn up rip out their drive leave a company sign then turn up three weeks later to block the drive.

agreed, most corporate clothing is cheap crap with a logo on it that always looks scruffy after a very short while.....i think as long as you look presentable you're ok.

agreed,but if i can plug a (distant) mate of mine i will.he did 2 dozen polo shirts for me 5 yrs ago,they don't tear,shrink or fade and stil look new today,rock-it promotions of rushden i think he calls himself,well worth a look

As for getting more work and helping the old word of mouth thing along. I think you have to get across your point of being really passionate about what you do.

Very true, I often see clients eyes glaze over as I tell them why their tree is so special / interesting. But they know that I care about what I do and so I get the majority of jobs that I quote for.

Ditto...couldnt agree more. If you care about trees and it shows i think the client is more inclined to give you the job.
