Nice looking rifle. Never fired! Had some advice to go hmr .17 but went .22. Out of interest what money are you looking for? If your happy to say of course.

No Mull

Never had a round through it, I can shoot 22lr on my own property but not the 17hmr and trips out have always been with 223 or 308 hence why this and the 243 are sitting idle. Regards the CZ  for you Mull I’d take £450 for the rifle, mod and rounds which is a substantial  saving on new.

Not in the rifle owning club, but found these when I was clearing out the cellar, amazing what you find in French houses.

A little unbranded French bolt action four ten with cartridges and what I believe is a Mauser K98k or one of its derivatives.

The area I live was heavily into the resistance so I assume it was taken from a German, stock completely rotted away.
I will give it to a mate in the UK next time I am over, he will restore it for show.

If you wirebrush the top of the receiver ring where the arrow points. You will find the makers code and year of manufacture.

That Rifle has been taken out of its stock and hidden, otherwise the barrel band and receiver crossbolt woukd still be present.

Cool find!

Turns out to be Czech, can’t quite make out the coding on the side.

Not intending to derail the thread  at all but I think the post war myth has evolved where most of the French were apparently in the resistance were they not, somewhat like the post covid views by many upon the validity of lockdowns etc.
Brno made arms for the Nazi war machine post occupation if I’m not wrong.
