Nevertheless I might just bow out and let it go

I'm beginning to think the same, mind I am a few years behind you.

I have been trying mounting off my left shoulder and it doesn't hackle. I need a squiggly butt to bring the barrel up for my left eye which isn't likely to happen for my current guns and eyewateringly expensive for replacement.

You need a gun with a cross over stock . I know of right handed shooters that had a left master eye and got a cross over stock fitted .

Not quite sure where to post this but renewing my shotgun cert I find that I now need a medical pro forma from my local practice at £107 plus the cost of the cert. When did this come about?

I’m sure when I renewed my FAC and shotgun a few years ago they just asked for doctors details and permission to contact them 🤔

It is a new ish rule they have invented, it's not even a rule really but many constabularies will not renew without doctors letter.

My old surgery wanted £120 for the letter, new surgery does it for £40. Anything over £60 is a pisstake imo and you can go online and do it through Medicert for £60 ish.

I don't shoot much at all these days but very reluctant to give up my guns yet, my non ticket air rifle is probably sufficient for my purposes.

That's what I said squiggly and definitely master left eye, all very well knowing what's needed another thing finding a way to do it on mass produced shotguns at a price I'm willing to pay. I discussed this with @gobbypunk but took it no further.

I doubt I will ever shoot for the table again and never moved in the circles  to be invited to a "shoot" indeed I am not the sort of person that gets invited, period. I would quite like to waste a few boxes on clays just to see if I can still hit anything.

Anyway a cross over is a car that purports to be suitable for lots of purposes and is no good for any of them.

Anyone else want in on a bulk deal on cats with me and peds? I’ve just dug a hole for an old one.

And filled it in this afternoon. RIP the big dribbling ginger boy.
