Felt sorry for Amber Rutter in the Olympic skeet . A hit is a hit even if its not " dusted "  Hats off to her though with her great attitude . No fuss just accepted the silver .

I’ve recently renewed my longstanding love for irons. Gashy plastic ones but they work well enough that I can use them for a bit while I work out what I want to replace them with.

Rifle is an absolute sweetheart. I’ve left a rail on to try a long eye relief pistol scope a mate has for me but irons really do seem right.

I’d like to say a custom made Gozzi Junior but in fact a Chiappa Little Badger. £100 and I class that as not underpaying.

Rimfire. This one LR. WMR and HMR also available. I’d have preferred an air rifle to be honest but they’re bigger, heavier and more expensive. Might investigate shorts or CB caps for this.

Can anyone recommend an air pistol for an elderly man with mobility issues for hitting rats at fairly close range?

He fired all sorts of guns in the middle of the last century, 50s and 60s, growing up under the RAF and at OTC, so he has some prior experience, but not much since then.

Thanks for any suggestions.

An air pistol won’t be powerful enough, nor accurate enough without a lot of practice.

get a carbine .22 break barrel with a red dot sight and wadcutter type pellets.

if money isn’t an issue then an electric compressor and a lightweight multishot pcp would be the easiest to use, and with a decent set of spinner targets could be a rewarding hobby also.
