But to be honest its not really worth it unless your a eco person and for the price extra £30 ish quid save your self the money

Is that opinion based on a carefully considered examination of all the facts?

What do you think happens to the oil you put in the tank?

It gets thrown off the bar, most of it will end up in the wood but a part of it will become atomised in the air you are breathing. Mineral oil is carcinogenic, bio oil isn’t.

Nope its just my view of it really, The only reason i will ever use bio oil is if its in a wildlife park or where animals may be around or near water

If i can say to the client its Bio oil and its good for the environment its all good

But you have me thinking now think i will have one saw on bio for a month and another on normal stuff to see what happens

You sure on that?

I thought it was used mineral oil and used veg for that matter that was carcinogenic.

Besides isnt bio worse for your health due to fungus and molds that live in it were mineral is inert?

No I am pretty certain it’s mineral oils that are known carcinogens.

Chain oil is pretty refined and as I understand it the more refined it is the less carcinogenic it is.

Bio oil is a more friendly environment for bacteria but it’s a trade off, you can live with that or the potentially harmful effects of mineral oil to the operator and the environment.
