Are Timberwolf chippers really that good ??

If I had one I would seriously look at getting an upgraded greasable bearing in there, cant be rocket science to get one fitted/made up.

 

It would be very difficult to do, these are such compact machines (thats one of the good things about them) that there is very little room to make such changes. I think if it could be done without a total redesign, TW themselves would have done it.

Pity that, but yeah I could see them doing some kind of upgrade kit if it was easy enough/possible.

 

Although I'm sure I read somewhere on AT that someone had or was doing a bearing upgrade.Was quite a while ago though.

There not a bag machine, there built down to a price and weight thats why there so well liked, my next machine will be a greenmech quadchip, might be the tracked one dont know yet, there about 2k more but are better though out and built IMO

just a quick Q if u have to change the bearing say every 600h what is the rough cost off doing this im look at getting me first towable one keep looking round and i would like the greenmech quadchip but for some strange reasion i keep look at the bandit 65

 

about £500 as it take 8 hours to change te bearings :001_rolleyes: and it normaly breaks the fins when they go
