check this out, i have a mate who put green wood on his radiator to dry out!! he cranks up the centeral heating to dry out wood to then burn on the fire to try and save money!! nice guy but a bit of a plonker.:thumbup:

Does he run a dehumidifier simultaneously to deal with the moisture? :001_huh:

I have found sycamore takes a good while to season. It will burn green but picks up moisture very easilly. In my opinion, best stacked well under cover and off the ground.

 

Nice firewood though when dry although it goes quickly.

 

ive found sycamore dries pretty fast myself :)
