I'm with Mick and Carl here 100%.

Drowning is cruel and unnecessary.

High powered air rifle/pistol shot to the brain is the answer.

If you don't have the means for humane dispatch, you shouldn't be trapping them.

Just because they are vermin doesn't excuse any kind of suffering.

You can't be with both of us, Mick has a different view.

They suggest taking it to the vet for a humain injection. They seem to forget it is illegal to transport greys so I don't know how you get it to the vets.

I think it would have suffered the same if the man in question blundered whacking it on the head or didn't know what to do with an air rifle for example. He knew he had to kill it by law so did what he thought was best.

You have to keep in the trap at the location, keep feeding it for upto 28 days whilst you apply for permission to have a sched 9 species in captivity from defra, then promptly have it destroyed,

been speaking to a few keepers and ex police about this afternoon, we have decided that in future we should just call the rspca out to deal with them once trapped ,

I would rather fire a small boiling hot chunk of lead through it's head, a much more honorable death.

Oh wait, it's still death isn't it.

Thought this would have put you more in Micks 'drowning is bad camp, no?

TBH, I would have thought the RSPCA would have bigger fish to fry. Metaphorically, that is. I'm not condoning frying fish to death, or anything.
