Ive snapped the twiglatch on my ms200t, you know... the bit that you have depress before you can pull the throttle in?

Im going to have to take the handle apart to replace it, but am i right in thinking that generally when you take the handle apart on an 020 that everything flings out and is a mission to put back together?

The saw still works fine, so i doubt its a job il get around to ASAP :001_rolleyes:

Anyone replaced one before? Will it be just easier for me to take it to a dealer rather than me trying to mess about putting the handle and all the controls back toegther myself?

Cheers :001_cool:

Three courses of action;

1. Dealer.

2. Take the handle assembly to pieces in a methodical fashion and lay all the parts out on a bench in order to put them back together correctly.

3. Few turns of insulation tape round the grip safety to keep it in permanently, and forget about it.

Take your pick. :001_smile:

They are a bugger to do Tom, but not impossible. Take your time with it. I have cracked the oil tank in mine!!!

how the feck did you crack the oil tank young man ??

as for the handle if you were near me (cornwall) i would more than happily do it for you , i have done a few now but i dont mind saying that the first one that i did was a nightmare as it did all spring out but a bit of thinking and a cool head and you will be able to put it all back together mate . its probably an hours work at the most .
