My meaning was waterproof jackets, I'll often wear a fleece if I'm standing around waiting but if its wet, its not going to help and I'll leave it in the car.

Yes weather is a lot easier here in the south. Its hot weather that I have more problems with.

I buy a new wet weather jacket most years, this year I got a Treeland chasse (hunt) type one, around a €100 and chasse stuff is usually pretty robust.

It’s always a compromise between staying dry from the rain and moving freely and not being soaked in sweat.

I’m not climbing in the pissing rain, and if it’s forecast all day I’m on the sofa watching Everyone Loves Raymond or Frasier.

If I was climbing up and down a railway embankment pulling gorse to a chipper I’d probably take more effort in choosing.

After going to order a Swazi, It seems the Swazi Huron Jacket is out of stock in most mid sizes and has been since last winter as I went to order one then too..

I wander if its stopped being made?

There are some brands do them for farmers not cheap though

I've started wearing a waterproof skirt (bit of tarp I found) to walk the dog. Saves putting waterproof trousers on. Useful when wet dog or wet grass brushes your leg. I give it about a week before someone paints PEDO on the front of my house.

Insufficiently secure with your own masculinity, Mark?

Real men wear skirts. Tell Mosh and Thrasher they're wrong.
