Best Bar Oil?

I godda say maybe its because I live in the " temperate " south but I have always used DM Chainsaws own oil ( don't know who makes it for them ) and never had an issue winter , summer , bank holidays or what ever . Its a non subject as far as I can say .

Yeah I get that, it was a fave for a while, same as brewdog, but now sadly hollow shells of their former selves. Locally they have Wainwright's which will do until I get to microbus in town or the boathouse in Wylam.

Neck oil is in loads of pubs round here but I can’t stomach it 🤮

mind you I won’t drink fosters or Budweiser either. A nice dark or amber ale, stout, mild, old ale or decent quality cold lager in the summer goes down a treat 👍

Bar oil I use Gator or Rotatech

It's alright, but overly hoppy for  me. It's like they made it like that just for the sake of being hoppy.

Firsty Ferret for an amber ale or Golden Champion for a golden ale . Love em .

Great shout, two nice beers there. I like Badger Beers, good brewery. Blandford Fly is another favourite.

I haven’t bought chain oil for about 4 years.  The local kebab shop has high end rapeseed oil.

 

He gives it away to a mate of mine who I work with.  He triple filters it and then siphons it off into cans.

 

Works really well and isn’t too thick to hamper the filling process here in the Norwegian winter.  It also doesn’t run into water consistency in the hot summer days.

 

Saws don’t get too gunked up and haven’t had a problem oiling in the years I have been using it.

Only problem he has is he has too much of it.  We have been sharing it around with the few companies we work with.

 

He has so much now he is selling it by the 100l load to local firewood processors.
