Question for you dog owners: do you take your dogs to work most of the time? What do you do on a hot day when the van is roasting?

 

Just thinking about getting a dog at the moment. I'm not on the tools much anymore, just surveys and office days (on a farm). Just trying to think through the practicalities of having a dog with me at sites where a dog can't be let out e.g. roadside surveys, old industrial sites....

 

Would a lockable crate with a cover over it be the best thing on a hot day?

Hi Paul, glad to hear things are moving in the right direction with your mums dog.

In respect of dogs in cars on a hot day is a no no unless you have air con & can leave the car running while you do your surveys etc.

Even on a cloudy day the temp in a car can be too much for a dog.

Imagine wearing a fur coat in summer.
