Lots of footage of his climbing device too, looks slick

Looks similar shape to a Petzl Grillion (but far less shit)

Keen to see this in its final form.

ART seem to have something in the pipeline too

I won’t argue with that , the captain was a waste of time , I climbed on it for about a month before giving it away and going back to my old epple hook… this looks better than both.

When I was about 8, I was obsessed with grappling hooks after seeing The Living Daylights. I tied various bits of scrap metal found in fields (bits off ploughs probably) to washing line to swing around from trees. My mate, Robbie had a go and the pointy triangle of rusty steel came loose and hit him in the head. Now I think about it, thank christ he didn’t die. It was a big bit of steel, moved by gravity and his weight and a springy length of line.

Anyway. Happy grappling. Don’t miss near greenhouses etc.

I stopped using my Eppel hook after similar happened to me. Snapped back off a branch, the point of metal where you can tie the fishermans knot pierced my prescription safety glasses and hit just below my eye socket. It could of either blinded me in one eye or knocked my teeth out again. If you're grappling, consider wearing eye protection to deflect any mistakes.

I've been googling pretty hard and found lots of chatter on various forums, but I can't find any pictures of an eppel.

Anyone have any to share?
