I think you'd like this throw line bag 🙂

Obviously, the video is done in jest... but has anyone tried covering the inner spokes with the same fabric, to prevent the line from snarling up in the exposed metal?

As an idea, it has potential.

Wasn't Reg also designing a mechanical friction device capable of Ddrt and SRT? He was testing it almost 2 years ago, but not heard a peep since?

Might be in a legal quagmire as he was working with/for stein at the time I presume?.

I loved reg’s 201t modification when they first came out. I can’t seem to find the video any more so maybe he removed it 🤣🤣

Care to give a vague description for anyone who hasn't seen it, or would it be lost in translation?

He drove his truck over it 🤣🤣 ..... a bit more interesting than throwing it out of a tree 😁

Edit , who was it on here who chucked a 201 out of a tree ?

The first 201s were rubbish, so Reg did a vid crushing one with his truck.

I had one and it was profoundly gutless. Heaven knows how or why Stihl released them (perhaps Husky’s new 540 release panicked them)

A saw tuner called Snelling in the US brought them up to spec with a timing advance and a new ignition unit or something. I had it fitted to mine and it really brought it up to speed.

Stihl saw what he did and released the same mod/kit as an aftermarket “upgrade” never admitting their error.

Pretty soon the second lot of 201s had it as standard.

A big error on their part, cost them a lot of goodwill.
