Most of the bloated SUVs and pick-ups I see around the place blocking up the roads, car parks and schools are pretty much spotless. They've never even had a sniff of off-road action I'd imagine. Just vanity vans, or single occupant 'boss mans'. Completely unnecessary imo. I doubt it would reduce the hard working man's (or Sharon's) earning potential one centime if they were swapped for real vans or even cars. (There's a Passat on here looking for a new home for starters.)

Still no answer. Simples. How many times does JohnsonD use his vanity van as a necessity for his work? We should have a poll I think.

What else should he use to tow 3.4 Ton, carry his gear plus a helper or two that would create less emissions than a dc pickup?

🤔Did you read that I wonder before posting it 🤷‍♂️that’s full on embarrassing stuff SP from what is supposed to be a grown man

Still no answer because im a bit busy tonight SP milking the renewables tit. Have a poll 😂😂you reckon eh, Christ what a sad bugger, honestly how many times you been asked what you do for a living  and blatantly avoid answering 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️!!. Vanity van 😂😂😂what a joke you are SP.
Not that it will make any sense to you but on  average I’ll do 120 -150 days offshore. Last year it was a total of 54 days of milling for myself and others plus all firewood deliveries and general to and fro to storage yard maintenance on mill etc etc . You genuinely don’t have a ****************ing clue what you are talking about. Stick to the office and the train. Do those pics look like it’s a working tool or a toy you daft sod. That pick up has had the shit kicked out of it for over 100k miles easy 60% with a trailer on its arse.

Emissions, could get an electric one? Old Trumpy, the US president (and hero of The JohnsonD) is flogging them now.

Once again you show your total ignorance on a subject

go and do some research and come back with an electric 4x4 that will tow 3500kg available in the UK 🤡

Ranger hybrid not worth a toss and 75k only built to appease the gullible such as yourself.

Currently the only one available in the UK is two wheel drive only limited to towing a ton, you might think that’s a lot being used to sitting on a train but it’s of no use to me whatsoever Honestly SP you should stick to the political threads because it’s blatantly obvious you have you  zero real time knowledge or experience on this topic.
Just to emphasise the point I looked up 4x4 hire Scotlands prices again it emphasises how utterly ignorant you are on the  matter.

I can’t wait till you see the next tow vehicle 😂😂😂 6.7L Cummins turbo diesel powered, you can google that particular unit if you are as I suspect rather confused. Two door only so fully vat and tax deductible  you will be pleased to know 😂😂👍👍I’ll post a pic up once it’s all sorted in the name of openness SP 👍👍rather than the veil of anonymity you embrace.

Sure. Let's investigate the only electric pickup that can tow 3.4 Tonn.

The gigantic Ford F150 lightning, base price about £50K,so you would have to import it,convert it to right hand drive. Back of fag packet breakdown below.

Base Vehicle £50k

Domestic transport to port £3k

Shipping to Scotland £2.5k

Shipping inside the UK £1500

Vat,import and handling fees £11,000

Conversation to rh drive £10,000 easy

£78,000 now it's on the road,so now it will have about 1/3 the range of a Diesel when towing. Sadly there is a lack of charging facilities pretty much anywhere off the main routes anywhere I know. So let's buy a nice big 10kva  generator to sit on the deck.

£3000

This can run all day as Dave is milling, providing of course he gets to the job on a single charge. But and it is a big but,the short charging frequency will rinse his battery. Sadly the batt packs in pretty much any electric vehicle are non replaceable ,so be prepared to scrap the truck in four years in order to buy another.

His clients won't buy his services any longer, and since of course every Miller in Scotland bought and electric wagon thus charging a fortune. The timber now goes to firewood and the dimensional Oak gets imported from the Baltics where they don't give a toss about HSE or emissions.  Perfect!

That sounds great Dave, you'll have sorted the work vehicle, for the milling etc,  getting you all of the much needed tax breaks, and then you can get a more fuel efficient and economic car/SUV for all of the long distance communting. Sounds like a win win for you, (your pocket?), and the environment. With the added bonus for you that you can feel that you've got one over on the government and the mindless greenies by avoiding tax and getting a truck with a massive engine.  Congratulations!

Just out of interest , what ever happened to the Rivion electric pickup ? Did it die a death ?

Don't think so, I hope not. A good friend of mine works for them and recently moved over to the US with his wife.
