A bit off topic but can someone tell me a make of forestry boots that have spiked soles. A bit over kill but I was thinking they may save me slipping/ falling/ twisting ankle on the irregular shaped cordwood lengths( approx 2.3+ mtrs long, when sheeting over with my ex bunker lorry tarps. A job I hate doing for fear of a fall /twisting my ankle but has to be done, especially as wood has been split with cone splitter to dry out quicker, downside is it takes rain in quicker un less sheeted!!!!!!!!!!

They have to be long enough in the spikes to go through loose bark and into the wood.

Crampons on timber make you more likely to break an ankle not less!!

Screw in studs are the way forward.
