There's a bridge similar to that going into Ely, I know my van goes under it but I duck down in the cab every time I go under it. Don't half felel silly afterwards, but can't help it.

I don't know if it's when you approach it'sgoing down the hill (rare things in East Anglia) that deceives the eye but it catches me every time. There's another one near Needham Lakes that doesn't create the ducking problem, yes, I meant ducking.

on a tangent, got any jokes?

Friend I was subbing to lost wheelbarrow off roof of defender under the one at Needham on our way to Bonnie Wood years ago, no damage to Landry but didn’t half make us jump! [emoji23][emoji23]
I used the road under bridge at other end of town when I drove cos I had 4x4 transit with roof rack (8” body lift)... still used to make me duck involuntarily[emoji849]

Now you've said that there is one down a side street in Needham, opposite where Barclays Bank used to be, I was driving an Anglian Water VW Lt45, didn't fancy it, so got out for a look and spotted a fella nearby, I asked him to watch me under, he wasn't very good at marshalling traffic, I ripped the beacons off it.

Oops! Must be the same one? The road plunges a bit on approach, similar one under A47 at Acle but actually plenty of room!

Sounds like the same place, it wouldn't have been so wafty if I wasn't meant to be there in a company van, thinking back I got away with 'murder' using their vans.
