We had the chance of two artic loads early last year, nothing over 10" dia,the price was right so we went for it.Split it in long lengths to dry.Sold the lot by Xmas and everyone who tried it wanted more.It was very dry.

Once it's properly dry Willow burns well. We burn quite a bit in enclosed stoves, so we have no problem if it does spit.

It's another one of those firewood 'myths'. My brother was given a 5 cubes trailer load by a neighbouring dealer, all cut and split and delivered, because none of his customers would touch it and he wanted space in his yard!

Burns hot but doesnt last too long, I had loads off a few jobs a few years back and nobody wanted it, so mixed it in anyway and told them it was ash ;) never had any complaints and they all came back for more :laugh1::thumbup1:
