Hi all

I have a potential Ash removal job that im quoting for.

The tree is around 18-20 m tall and aprox 2/2.5ft  near the base . on the base of one of the stems there is dead wood roughly an eigth to a quater of the stem,

My question:

Would this be safe to climb and work on with some small  rigging  or would a mewp be best. I dint have tickets for a mewp so if this is the case i wouldn't take it on i have attached some photos.

It certainly looks pretty sketchy.

You can hire a MEWP with an operator.

He puts you where you want to be, you cut.

Most have 2 man cages.

Down here that hire would be £450/day.

Now then here's a thing.

Across the road there is what appears to be ABC.

If it is and it's not broadband then call the distribution network for the area and get them to reduce the tree for you so that you can fell it under control.

If it's BT then just fell it ....😬🤪

I would just fell it anyway... Nothing like felling in the vicinity of.😂

I'd climb it. I will climb it if you pay me.

You'll need a rescue climber. Best pay me to be there too.

Honestly it looks like an easy day for a cimber. I'd be pretty chuffed to be booked in for that. Job and knock by elevenses
