Morning!  -4 and still lots of snow on the ground.  My first morning shift with the wee 1 since Sunday as I was back to work this week.

She went straight back to sleep after her 4.30am bottle so time for season 2 of Landman.

It normally means a slight leak in the heating circuit, often only visible around a radiator tap gland as a faint greenish stain. The heat of the water having evaporated the leak before it drips.

Morning all,

Nice and frosty here, blue sky and sunny. Got to empty all the tools from the van ready for service and MOT. You can tell the difference driving it without all the kit onboard.

Have a good weekend

Morning all.

Wind blowing this morning, a warmer, wet and windy week to come.

Spent some time at the yard during the christmas break, a chance to catch up with yard chores, the little jobs that accumulate, bit of machine maintenance.

One thing achieved was giving the hook loading trailer a good going over including greasing the skip door hinges. Well I had the skip out two days last week and what a pleasure it was opening that massive door!

So rewarding to swing it open effortlessly. Looking, I'm sure, like a man of great stature putting such little effort into the weighty task.

I only say this because I dreamt of opening that door last night, such is the pleasure it gave.

It's the little things in life!

Have a good one folks.

Good morning 🌅

Got to take the boys to rugby this morning, then back onto the David brown, sounded terrible when i started it it sounded terrible and it was blowing back out of the air filter.

Took the rocker cover off and I could see I was missing one pushrod. Further investigation showed two bent on the same cylinder. The cam shaft looks good, will try and take the head off this afternoon to see what has happened as it is clearly the piston and valves have had a little disagreement.

Nice crisp morning.

Friday I had a big dead oak over a road, rendered very awkward and dangerous by a telephone line underneath.

I was informed the line would be taken down, but it wasn’t, anyway, long story short I walked, to the local councillors annoyance.

Got a text yesterday that the line will definitely be down Monday morning ready for us to do the work.

Its a good earner, and I didn’t want to lose it, but I’m not dying (or getting an insurance claim) because they couldn’t get thing in place.

Happy days!

Morning all . Light frost to be replacec by rain it says . Off to Fratton Park to watch Pompey v The Gunners in a cup match . If we can keep it below a cricket score that would be something !
