So on Honeys it says "Tested and certified to EN ISO 11393: PROTECTION AGAINST HAND-HELD CHAINSAWS"

Aren't all chainsaws hand held?!🤔

Harvester or grapple saw - hydraulic and much more powerful

These the ones developed in Japan with Paul Poynter?

Very true. although I wouldn’t want to be putting my leg in one of those regardless of what trousers I was wearing.

Yes, I think so. My only concern is how durable they are… usually the lighter and more breathable they are, the thinner the material and the faster they will fall apart. I suppose everything is a compromise though!

Possibley, they look terrible IMO.

Like a pair of shit catchers worn by chavs and rude boys.

Any more updates on these?? Thinking of purchasing a pair for the hotter weather, but if they rip at the sight of a thorn I may stick to my sweaty gladiators

Most saws these days are way faster than class 1 so they probably don't meet insurance specifics......or safety either

Unfortunately that's the first sensible thing he's said. If using most saws today you would need class 3 trousers and boots. The MSA 300 runs at 30m/s flat out! We'll be back to wearing quilts on our legs again if HSE get involved
