It is especially thick, even on thin branches.

I believe the prehistoric bloke found in the ice in the Alps had lime rope on him so the practice goes back thousands of years.

I read about him a while ago, Otzi the iceman, really interesting find. They could tell all sorts from his remains, physical health issues, diet etc. They believe he was murdered as he had an axehead lodged in him. I think even his DNA was traced to a modern day ancestor.

I’ve just tried searching for a documentary on it but drawn a blank other than a few bits on youtube, sounds interesting

Incredible the things they can deduce these days with modern forensics…..!

Twice that I know of. It's probably double figures but until someone points it out (openspaceman is very helpful in that regard) I'll keep kidding myself it's only twice!
