All terrain or Mud tyres for 2wd

Mud tyres fitted last weekend . They are commercial rated and a common van size. 

Maxxis Bighorn MT764 195 r14 C 106 load rating. 

The difference on the mud is night and day.

Mud tyres on 2wd  make a massive difference.  Can now get to tip site on farm. She crawled through the mud with ease. Recommended

Currently running BF Goodrich A\T on my old 2006 sprinter van rwd. Its been really surprising so far , not been stuck so far and i have had it on wet grass which on standard road tyres may as well have been black ice with a liberal coating of wd40. Only downside is cost so would be tempted to go for the cheaper copies next time round.

Tyres make a big difference but also knowing your vehicles limits.

Built a mk7 transit monster truck a few years back for the jobs where we needed something between a van and the tractors.wirked a treat but had its limits. Surprised me where it would go but also surprised me some of the stupid places I'd get it stuck!

A neighbouring farm fitted duals on a tractor in much the same way. Don't know if he had problems with it. Looking at that, I wonder if equivalent flotation type tyres might have worked well? The Agribuggys I used to drive were on Land Rover running gear, with tyres about a foot wide. I really miss my old LDV Convoys, dual rear wheel drive beats the snot out of a front wheel drive Transit, I can tell you!
