Good morning forum

I need to sell my chainsaw and was wondering if some kind soul on here could help me price it for a fair price?

the saw runs beautifully and has certainly helped us out pruning and trimming down conifers.

the only 2 reasons  we are selling it is we are going down the battery route and the other reason it tends to want to drop some chain oil when left on the shelf upright.

IIRC 109 Dolmars oil pump is driven off the crank directly not by the clutch drum, therefore oil pump is always pumping even at tickover. If you leave it ticking over for a whilst when you pick it up again you get a big dollop of oil on ground where you left it. Other than that good hardy saws.

Agree....maybe a tad more with decent pics and good wording. I sold one earlier this year on the bay for £130. Right time of year to be selling a saw to the weekend warriors for their winter logs

Mine leaks at the oil outlet from the tank, which is like a rubber bung type thingy with a pipe running through it. I've removed it and resealed it numerous times but it always starts leaking again, more in warmer weather, less in cold weather when the oil is thicker.

From what I can gather, that's where most of them leak from as well.

Therefore, leaving the saw on it's side with the fill caps downwards would prevent it but it leaks so little in reality that I seldom bother.

Poor anti vibe is what I don't like about older saws on rubber mounts - esp relevant if using all day etc

I've been prone to white finger for probably the past 20yrs or so, haven't much hassle with it now as I've learned how to manage it pretty well.

I've used the Dolmar a fair bit on a number of days and had no trouble.

OK, that's not having it going constantly in your hands from morning to evening every day for a few weeks, but you'll not be buying a secondhand 100 quid saw for that job anyway.
