Hi any one having an issue with the battery self releasing when  working in trees as iv had it happen 5 times recently with 2 different saws and 2 types of battery and different climbers, would love to hear any feedback.

How one release on the first battery saw they bought out. Didn’t fall out thankfully. This was discussed a while ago I think so you’re not alone. That’s one of the things I prefer about the stihl that the battery is mounted from the top

Odd, I have the 536 and that has never happened.
The groundy has occasionally not slotted it in correctly, but there is no power so it’s obvious.
Have you managed to replicate it falling out on the ground? (If you see what I mean)

Not had a problem personally.  The 200x batteries  seems to lock in perfectly (although they are a little fragile, alas).  The 300 batteries are a little prone to being a bit more fiddly to lock in initially, but as @Mick Dempsey reckoned, you know instantly due to the lack of power!

I guess it’s a case of getting the groundy used to inserting the battery and then blipping the saw to confirm it is in properly.

I’ve noticed the battery releasing a few times now. Not dropping out, but a ‘first stage release’ if you like. T540i with 200x batteries. Considering doing as others have and putting a releasable strap around the battery unit to make sure it can’t come out.
