Don’t believe so. Here you go:

My license was due to run out and it was the ten year one, so I needed to send a picture in (passport was out of date, not needed during Covid), anyway I still haven't got it back, this was in August 2020. Our kid told me yesterday that his took 10 months to come back, wtf do they do in Swansea?

You sent it away 18 months ago and haven’t had it back?! Wowsers!

When did you first chase it up?

Only if you want to keep the C1 C1E D1 & D1E do you need to take a D4 medical.

No , no buses but got a 3.5 T horse box . Not over 3.5 though ...

Then about 3 months before your 70th you will get an invitation to renew your licence, if you have none of the medical problems listed and you can read a number plate at 20 metres  you will just need a current photo or the photo on your passport record to get a photo driving licence valid till you are 73 then I guess you have to jump through the same hoops again.

If you want to keep your licence a to include heavier (C1, D1) vehicles then you need to do the medical.

I let my c1 and D1 entitlements drop.

Look at some of the dates here, not 18 months, but it's ridiculous and trying to get a straight answer out of them is like trying to get a straight answer out of Boris.
