Hedge trimmer advice

I have about 300' of 12' hedging to maintain, variously Damson, Hawthorn, Laurel..... The Arthrtis in my hands mean my heavy old electric 24" blade electric hedge trimmer and the long arm short blade are getting too heavy to manouver, any suggestionss to replacements? I also have several large shrubs that need keeping in check.

Take a look at the stihl battery range of products. They probably are amongst the lowest vibes available

I know but what they ask round here for what I can do in a day is crazy.

high lift harness if yo can manage to find one

Or failing that the stihl harness - use it regularly and it really saves my back and elbows

The last quote I had was £450,

Hedge cutting is an art built up over a many years.
If you want it just smashed down then £450 about right.
For a first rate job expect to pay twice that .

£450 is  low esp if remove all clippings (clippings tidy up etc probably near half the job)
